Heroes Academy runs a Playgroup for caregivers to bring their 0–5 year olds with diagnosed additional needs or for those who are undergoing a diagnostic process. Neuro-typical siblings are welcome.

We recognise in the early years following a diagnosis, some simple activities such as attending playgroups and playcentres can become too overwhelming to enjoy.

At our Playgroup, children can explore our fully equipped sensory room with no expectations or judgement and caregivers can meet other families who are navigating the same stage of life.

We have a volunteer team consisting of teachers, allied health professionals, chaplains, and doctors, who support the children and families in attendance.

To help your child settle in, we recommend showing them our Playgroup Social Story prior to coming to their Playgroup.
